What True Christianity and True Believers Are:
Do you REALLY believe Jesus Christ?
by Mr. Pete Wilson Truth in Scripture.com The vast majority of believers of Jesus Christ are really not believers at all. I say this from my own 30 year false belief experience, my observations in ministry and most importantly what God has shown me and confirmed in the Holy Scriptures. Believing in Christ means a lot more than just saying He was the Son of God. Even the demons that spoke to Jesus believed that and yet they shuddered, knowing who God Almighty really was. Most Christians have no fear of God, so from that perspective the demons have one up on them as it pertains to the truth. Without the fear of God, there can be no knowledge of God and anyone claiming to know Christ deceives themselves. But my post is to talk about what believing Jesus is all about. The words believing and true faith in Jesus mean the same thing. Yet the problem is that man has changed the definition of what believing and true faith mean, watering down the truth. We are indeed saved by faith and I will even agree to say faith alone, so long as we get straight on the true definition of faith and believing in Jesus. Faith is much more than just a mental ascent that Jesus was the Son of God and came to die for us on the cross. True faith is actionable and will be evidenced by both words and actions (deeds) that are congruent with each other and the written Word. Man’s religion and the Babylon apostate church has split the truth and only teach partial truths — which is just a clever way of being deceitful or said another way lying! Just like Satan twisted the words of God to Eve and later even tried to trick Jesus in the desert, the spirits of antiChrist have inspired many a false prophet to cleverly spin the truth into a bunch of lies. Jeremiah 8:8 How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. ”The wise men are put to shame, they are dismayed and caught; behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD, and what kind of wisdom do they have? Many who say they believe in Jesus pretend obedience to God. Let God be true and every man a liar, God is not fooled by any of these religious works of the flesh. He sees what is in our hearts, He knows who are really His and who really truly believes on the LORD Jesus. There is an awful lot of flesh religion wrapped up in the name of Jesus that will be exposed very soon. The day of judgment is almost here, the time to be set free by the truth is now. Psalm 81:15 Those who hate the LORD would pretend obedience to Him, And their time of punishment would be forever. Few will actually find the narrow gate. Many “believers” actually hate Jesus but just want to make a good showing in the flesh so they fake it. People will want to argue about the basic tenants of the gospel all day long. But those doing the arguing are the ones pretending obedience. While I can’t see into their heart, the Scriptures tell me, they harbor sin that they do not want to lay down for God. They love their sin more than they love their God. For sure our righteousness before God only comes by faith. But the Bible also tells us only those that obey God will have eternal life. So what does this really mean? This truth has been twisted to say obedience is optional and worse that trying to obey God is works. I am sorry my friends, but that kind of belief is not true faith, that is no better than what demons believe. This is the over simplistic, flesh pleasing lip based false faith that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 15 and Mark 7. Matthew 15:8 ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men The righteousness that comes by faith means that we stand in the grace of God and lean upon Him in our time of testing. The grace of God is the power of God working inside of us, that is how we overcome sin and the world. The result is we will obey God because we love Him, we fear Him and we trust in His promises and His power to transform us. The imputed righteousness crowd that likes to pretend obedience to God cut out lots of their Bibles, including this clear passage. Romans 2:13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous God has been very clear to us with His word. Not only did He record some of it in a book called the Bible, but He also wrote those words onto our heart, if we come to Him. Only those who believe in Jesus AND obey Jesus will have eternal life. Hebrews 5:9 He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him Believing and obedience go together hand and glove. You can’t obey Jesus without believing in Jesus and you certainly cannot believe in Him without obeying His commandments. So true faith and true belief in Jesus is demonstrated by our actions and our deeds. If the fruit of our actions and deeds does not conform to our outward expressed belief in Jesus, then our belief in the LORD is fake. True faith comes from deep inside our hearts and God promised it would bear fruit unto righteousness. If you are practicing sin, you are not bearing fruit unto righteousness, so we should indeed examine ourselves to see if we pass the test of true faith. When Abraham believed God, he obeyed God and moved his family. Noah did the same in building the ARK as God commanded. Rahab thru faith, risked her life to hide Joshua and his men. The 12 disciples immediately dropped their fishing nets, left everything behind and followed Jesus. That is what true believers do. They follow the one they call LORD and Master. Now that is true faith. When we say we believe yet do not move and stay planted in the world, focused on worldly things, our faith will not prove itself worthy. Most of what man calls church preaches unbelief which is the opposite of true faith. This is not all that surprising because that is exactly what the Bible predicts will happen before the end comes. Babylon becomes a dwelling place of demons and the home for the false prophets that in turn point people to a false Jesus – the image of the beast or Satan himself. Doctrines get promoted that accommodate sin, claiming it is impossible to stop sinning. Here a little there a little and over time you get a severe falling away from the truth. God said we could obey if we choose Him. 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it The law of God has never been abolished. Love Him with all your heart, mind and soul. If you do this, you really believe in Jesus and are trusting in Him alone for your salvation. Even when Moses gave the law to the Israelites, God said we could obey, IF we chose to do so. We do it not on our own power but by the grace of God that has appeared to all of us, teaching us to deny ungodliness and overcome sin. Deut 30:11-14 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. 12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. There will be no excuse for any man on the day of judgment. None nada zip. We choose today and every day whom we shall serve and on what we believe. Do you believe in Jesus? If yes, then we need to repent of our sin and our apostasies. Turn back to our loving Father and He will take us back. When we believe the lies of the enemy that pervert the true gospel, we deny the sovereign Lord. We tell God we can’t do all things thru Him, we say to God that not all things are possible thru Him, and we tell God He lied which we know God cannot. Be ye Holy because your Father in heaven is Holy. Was God just kidding as most teachers of unbelief teach? When we believe such religious garbage, we do not believe in the real Jesus. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil in our lives. Jesus came to set us free from the power of sin, not to take away the penalty for sin. For the wages of un-repented and practice of sin is indeed spiritual death. The vast majority of the 82% of Americans that say they are Christians are spiritually dead. Sin has always been the root cause of death. God does not change. When He returns, Jesus said many will come calling Him LORD yet He will deny them entrance into the kingdom, saying instead depart from me, I never knew you. 1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him I just wrote about an episode in my walk that was tearing me apart. I had gotten away from my first love and was focusing my heart and mind into things of the world. Praise God for His discipline that came upon me to bring me back and turn me back to Him. It absolutely stunning to see the extent of the apostasy. False teachers are everywhere my friends. On TV, standing amongst many and virtually all the largest congregations, on YouTube, and on many blog sites. True believers in Jesus will teach an unpopular message to the masses. True believers when acting on the great commission given by the LORD will not be highly esteemed by those living in the world and lusting after the flesh. 2 Tim 3:11 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived Imposters are running wild, seducing many in the name of religion and Christianity. Woe to you when all men speak well of you. When we compromise with the world, the world will accept us but we become enemies of God. When we buddy up to the world and do the things the world does, we are putting our trust in men and not the sovereign Lord . Do you really know Jesus or do you just know about Him. Do you really believe Jesus or do you just believe what the demons believe? There can be no compromise, there is no such thing as halfway believing. Furthermore, believing for a little while does not amount to anything either. Luke 8:13 They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away It is not enough to abide in Christ for a while. We must endure all the way to end. If we have wandered off, we must get back on the narrow path. It is our duties as Christians to love our brothers and sisters, rebuke them, and gently bring them back to the way of truth. We must continue in Christ, we cannot look back otherwise we will not be found worthy. Let me end this with some Scripture that hit me hard the other day. John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Note who Jesus was speaking to. Jews who had believed in Him. When the going got tough and they were confronted with sin, they really did not believe any longer. Jesus told them straight up, they were not really His disciples. They were fakes, tares amongst the wheat, goats mixed in with the sheep. These false believers didn’t want to pay the price of EVERYTHING to follow Jesus. God is shaking all nations and people. The tests and tribulations will only escalate as the day of the Lord approaches. I pray all of us will stand firm, planted on the ROCK so that what cannot be shaken (a true faith or belief in Jesus Christ) will remain. | Articles:
